Planted tanks

Post by mrsbiffster on Wed Jan 25, 2012 3:05 am

I have 4 tanks with a variety of plants in them from vallis to elodea, plus broad leaved plants.
Each tank has a different substrate in them.
Tank 1 has gravel. Tank 2 has sand. Tank 3 has cat litter and tank 4 has aquatic compost and a layer of sand.
I also have going in 3 tanks Co2 which helps the plants grow. The other tank will also have Co2.

I've added some bronze corys in the aquatic compost/sand tank. Most of them ended up in the sump part with the alphagrog. So i had to empty the sump out to retrieve them and up a piece of mesh over the weir to stop them going back in.

I've added Co2 to the tank with the aquatic compost and sand. Lets wait and see what the plants are going to turn out like. They are looking good now and hopefully look better with the Co2.
